Sunday, 06 May 2001 About SEATCupra.net
SEATCupra.net was founded in 2001 as a hobby by a group of enthusiastic SEAT owners with the aim of providing an in-depth and knowledagble discussion forum for fellow enthusiasts to exchange information and ideas about SEAT vehicles, and as a community covering most motoring based subjects.
Since our initial beginnings, we have now grown to become one of the largest and most popular SEAT motoring related forums on the web. With more than 16000 'active' forum members and an average of 80,000 page views per day, we constantly endeavour to bring you the very latest news and information from SEAT and SEAT Sport. Many SEAT specific product reviews and features are all discussed on the forum, as well as organised events, shows and local member meets. We regard the forum as an important resource for the share of knowledge but their is always room for some good old fashioned fun and banter!
The forum community continues to grow daily, and many close friendships have been formed as a result of the site, and a great community spirit that is second to none.
We strive to bring the most factual information possible to our regularly updated news website. With the help of many expert contributers, our knowledge base section is full of the most useful information, and the forum is a gold mine of information if you search on practically any SEAT related subject technical or otherwise. Our team attend press launches and gain access to special SEAT events, to bring the very latest informative content from the SEAT grapevine.
Motoring and Motor Sport are our passion!
SEAT have taken an active interest in our activities, and do involve themselves in the forum community. Since 2003 we have been invited as a group to attend motorsport events across the UK. We actively support the SEAT BTCC team and the numerous SEAT Cupra championship teams, reporting on the latest developments in the paddock. Now that SEAT UK have pulled out of BTCC for the forseeable future, our support and interest are focused on the new independant SEAT Leon Supercopa UK cup.
With the generous assistance of SEAT and several UK racing circuits, when possible we have been able to secure special in-field access to most national race circuits. Our forum members display their own cars, while we collectively support SEAT Sport's success on the track at arguabley the largest UK motorsport events of the year, the HiQ MSA British Touring Car championship.
We also host regular events, such as Rolling Road days and we attend major shows such as GTI International and Edition 38 plus many of our members organise national and locally organised meets during the year which are expanding all the time, such as circuit track days and driving trips to Le Mans 24Hr and the world famous Nurburgring in Germany.
'FREE' membership for all and no subscriptions...ever!
With all this on offer, your probably thinking what's the catch! Yet the site and community is entirely 'FREE' and the discussion forum is free to register to also. The only financial support we receive is via our selected advertising sponsors who generously provide us the means to pay for our server hosting costs, and further towards our continued development of the forum and website. We do however remain a totally independent group, with control over all aspects of direction and content.
The aim of SEATCupra.net has always been, to be run as a non profit making enthusiasts website. 100% of the funding we receive is channelled straight back into supporting the continued growth of the website and forum. Every member of the managing team are enthusiastic volunteers, no one profits from it's funds. Managed by its members for its members and always without subscription.
We occasionally host competitions with superb prizes and we can also offer many special product discounts and offers from associated companies and advertisers, sponsors may offer special collective group buys for selected products or offer special discounts, saving members lots of money.
